If you want to run the database is ARCHIVELOG mode or NOARCHIVELOG mode you can control that using “Recovery” tab as shown in the slide.



The “Recovery” tab can be accessed by first expanding the “Instance” node and then selection “Configuration” item underneath it. If you check the box “Archive Log Mode” then the “Archiver” process will get alive and will start archiving your redo log files. You can also specify Archive Log Destination in the same “Recovery” tab at the bottom.
