Remember that client applications send a connection request to the listener and listener bequeath the connection to the dispatcher in a shared server mode or dedicated server process in a dedicated server mode. After the connection has been bequeathed to the Oracle Instance then the communication takes place between Oracle Instance and the connected client without any listener process involvement. Write down the port on which listener is listening for connection requests on the Host and click “Next”.
