Step 3: Select the Function You Need

1. Once you are in the ‘Expression Builder’ window, expand the Functions
node. The functions node has ‘Built-in Functions’ category as shown in
the Figure 7-4 with label 1.
2. The built-in functions in MS Access are divided into many categories.
These categories will be visible as soon as you perform the point 1 i.e.
click the ‘Built-In Functions’. These categories are shown in the Figure
7-4 with label 2.

3. If you would like to see list of functions related to any particular category, click the category name as described in point 2 and the list of functions with label 3 will change showing all the related functions pertaining to that category.

4. Above all functions categories described in the point 2, there is <All> category. Clicking this will list all the built-in functions in the area shown with label 3 in Figure 7-4. All the functions will be in alphabetical order.
